Heather Mims, age 46, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2026, at Russellville Hospital ER.
Heather was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She worked at Burns Nursing and Rehab for 26 years as a certified nursing assistant and was always known for her compassionate care and infectious smile. Heather will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have her in their lives. She was a member of Grace Covenant Church in Russellville for several years. She loved taking care of her residents, spending time with her loved ones, and most importantly, spending time with her son Landon, who was her pride and joy. Heather never went a day without showing kindness and compassion to those around her. She always loved no matter what; if that person hurt her, she never stopped loving them. She truly had a heart of gold. Everyone who knew Heather will carry on her legacy in their hearts. Her everlasting love and selflessness will always be remembered. And Heather was devoted and diehard Alabama Fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Diane Mims, sister, Lisa Lane, nephew, Jonathan Entrekin, great-nephew, Alex Godsey, uncles, Micheal Murray and Christopher (Buttercup) Murray, grandparents, Thelma & Charles Murray and William & Ludie Mims.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Marcus McClellan, son, Landon McClellan, sisters, Alisha Swinney (Rodney),), Johnnie Faye Brazell (Joel), Teressa Mims Bearden, nieces and nephews, Nicole Godsey (Hunter), Jessica Swinney, Thomas Swinney (Jessica), Robbie Smith (Jacob), Donovan Brazell (Kimmy), Kaleyonna Miller (Austin), Merissa Brazell, Jake Bearden (Hannah), Kaleb Bearden (Alyssa), Bethany Nulph (Bo), William Lane (LaShay); great nieces and nephews, BreAnna, Sammy, Brantlee, Gunner, Julia May, Adleigh Jane, Drema, Lucion; bonus kids, Conner Capleton, Noah Capleton, Branlee Capleton and Brantley Amos; uncles, Mark Murray, David Murray and Ricky Murray; best friend, Jessica Amos.
The visitation will be 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel officiating the service will be Bro. Jeremy Seal. The burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery. The pallbearers will be, Thomas Swinney, Noah Capleton, Grayson Murray, Hunter Godsey, David Murray, Mark Murray, Austin Miller, & Jake Bearden. Honorary pallbearers will be Heathers babies, Ricky Murrary, Matt Murray, Dusty Murray, Kaleb Bearden and Donovan Brazell.
