FLORENCE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a two-vehicle accident near Florence has taken the life of a North Carolina man and sent another person to hospital:
“A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 3 a.m. Thursday, May 8, has claimed the life of a Franklinton, North Carolina man.
Chad A. Lister, 36, was fatally injured when the 2015 Ford F150 he was driving collided head-on with the 2016 Mack Concrete Pumper truck driven by Matthew A. Roberts, 40, of Counts, Tennessee Lister was pronounced deceased at the scene. Roberts was injured and transported to North Alabama Medical Center for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on Alabama 20 near the 14 mile marker, approximately four miles north of Florence, in Lauderdale County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
