In memory and honor of Mrs. Hazel Evelyn Vines Cooper…
She was born September 7, 1930 in Birmingham, Alabama, and rejoined all of those who passed before her on December 24th, 2022 in Huntsville, Alabama.
At 92 years old, she not only led a long life, but a full one. She was deeply loved by a multitude of people. You didn’t have to be her blood relative to feel like you were, she made sure of that. She had a very special place in her heart for children and would often reminisce about her time as
a school bus driver from which she had retired, and managing the lunchroom at West Madison. She also retired from Cheesbrough Ponds. She truly did love life, and was passionate about her faith, and love for God. She married Harold Coolidge Cooper on March 24, 1953, and was married to him until his passing on September 6, 2005.
She is survived by her children: Rob (Vickie) Cooper, Debbie (Ronnie) Rushing, Denny (Marla) Cooper, Bernadette Lundburg, step-son-in-law: Roger Rosser, grandchildren: Gina (Doug) Rioux, Andrea (Kyle) Moore, Samantha Moore, Clint Rushing, Matthew Cooper, Michael Lundburg, Austin Cooper, Kayli Cooper, Miley Cooper, great-grandchildren: Elizabeth (Andrew) Bieller, Brianna . (Eureka) Chouap, Mary Katherine Rioux, Jareth Cooper, and Victoria Cooper; great-great-grandchildren: Ren Chouap, Winry Chouap, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Coolidge Cooper; son, John Gary Cooper; stepdaughter Betty Rosser; stepson Harry Cooper, great-grandson Vincent Moore; parents, John Grover Vines and Hazel Maude Sims Vines; siblings: Johnny Vines, James Vines, Courtney Ray Peek, Evonne Lockhart, and Juanita Vines.
Graveside services will be Friday December 30th at 10:00 am at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
