Ms. Hazel Ann Cobbs, age 65, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023 at her residence in Arab, Alabama. Hazel was the daughter of Wendell Coy Hankins and Mary Gladys Waldrop Hankins. Her birthday was June 20, 1956 and was a resident of the Arab and Joppa communities. Hazel worked in several local restaurants as a waitress.
Hazel was a lady with many loves and interests. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and had skills and knowledge regarding interior design and decorating. She enjoyed all kinds of card games and was pretty good at billiards and shooting pool. Hazel also loved pampering her three dogs: Millie, Coco and Bubbles.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Jana Cobbs (Tyler Crochet); brothers, Junior Hankins and Jerry Hankins; sisters, Vickie Hankins and Juanita Steele (Doug) and a host of nieces and nephews.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Wendell and Mary Hankins; and two brothers, Clifford Hankins and Gerald Hankins
The family has elected to honor Hazel’s wishes with cremation and no public service.
