Harvey H. Walker, age 78 of Arab died Saturday – March 12, 2016 at Shepherd’s Cove – Hospice of Marshall County in Albertville.
He was born on June 17, 1937 in Marshall County Alabama, the son of L.D. Walker & Elna Buchanan Walker. He was a 1957 graduate of Holly Pond High School, an automotive mechanic and retired from City Garage in Arab. He served in the U.S. Army and returned to Arab in 1963 with his wife, Sadie Jean Livingstone Walker, who preceded him in death on September 29, 2004.
He attended Grassy Church of Christ.
He is survived by his special love: Dorothy Pitts; son: Luther Eugene “Buster” Walker; daughter: Debbie I. Tidwell; grandchildren: Cody James Walker, Sierra Loni Tidwell and Autumn Ellie Maureen Tidwell; brother: Luther S. Walker (Sandra); sisters: Judy Schultz, Karen Rogers, Susan Hendrix (Anthony); a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife: Sadie Jean Livingstone Walker; his parents: L.D. Walker & Elna Buchanan Walker; a brother and sister-in-law: Earl Wayne & Edna Walker and a sister Gail Troup.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. – Saturday – March 19, 2016 at Grassy Church of Christ with Brother James Dudley officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 prior to the service. The family elected cremation. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel directing.
