Harry Lanakila Pestano, Jr., age 73, of Decatur, died Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital. The family will host a memorial service at a later date. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Mr. Pestano, was born November 24, 1945, in Honolulu, HI, to Harry Lanakila Pestano, Sr. and Elsie Lee Pestano. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Pestano worked as a heavy equipment operator, and was a U. S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam.
He is survived by his loving wife, Philomena Grego Pestano of Decatur; three sons, Keoni Pestano, Dean Pestano, and Lee Pestano, all of Hawaii; three daughters, Sheelana Churchill and Shawn Lum of Hawaii, and Tiffany Landon of Decatur; five stepchildren, Michael Grego, Timothy Grego, Kim Moffett, Michelle Grego, and Kirsten Krantz; one brother, Harold Pestano of Hawaii; two sisters, Elsie Maglangit and Gayle Wilson (Tommy), both of Hawaii; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
