Harold Quillen, 83, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his residence. He was retired as a maintenance worker with Ford Motor Co. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, an avid song writer and enjoyed playing music and singing. He was a Mason for over 50 years and was a member of Bay Springs Lodge #167.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 21, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Ms. with Bro. Billy Burge and Bro. Bud Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery, Dennis, Ms. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms. will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife – Imogene Quillen, Dennis, Ms.; four children – Linda Norris (Lynn) Tupelo, Kent Quillen, Dennis, Cindy Bailey (Sparky) Fulton and Angie Klein (Tim) of Savannah, Tn.; one sister – Mildred Outlaw, Dennis, Ms.; seven grandchildren – Chris Long (Andrea), Derek Long (Christy), Nikki Sanders, Trevor Bailey, Allie Klein, Austin Klein and Aiden Klein and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ernest Quillen and Anna Mae Abbott Quillen, a son, Johnny Quillen, two sisters, Ida Bell Vandevander and Elaine Brackeen and one brother, Buddy Quillen.
Pallbearers will be Chris Long, Derek Long, Sparky Bailey, Trevor Bailey, Lynn Norris and Thomas Parrish. Honorary pallbearers will be former co-workers of Ford Motor Co., Sheffield, Al.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, December 21, at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Ms.
