Hank Ross Hornbuckle, age 44, of New Hope, Alabama, passed away tragically on July 1, 2025. Born and raised in New Hope, Hank was a proud and dedicated member of his community. He worked for the City of Huntsville as a Project Supervisor, where he poured his work ethic and heart into everything he did.
Hank was deeply loved by his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege to know him. He was the rock of his family – a loving husband, devoted father, and a man who always put others before himself. His greatest joy in life was his wife and children, and he made sure they always knew how much they were loved.
You could often find Hank in his favorite chair out in his shop, enjoying his shows, football, or a good NASCAR race. He also loved to grill – feeding his family and friends brought him true joy, and he made sure nobody ever left hungry. He loved to cruise and see the beautiful water, always drawn to nature and the calm it brought him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Katie) Hornbuckle; his children, Alexis and Brody Hornbuckle; stepchildren, Blake and McKinnlee Keel; his mother, Melissa Crumrine (Dave; his father, Leon “Huck” Hornbuckle (Barbra); and his grandparents, Fred and Elsie Rutland.
Hank was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leon and Vera Mae Hornbuckle and his stepfather, Jim Crumrine.
Hank’s presence, strength, and love will be missed beyond measure. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
