Goldie Childers Hollis, age 65 of Horton passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Shepherds Cove.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery in Douglas. Rev. Nick Mitchell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brad Garmon, Chris Wilson, Dustin Phillips, Wayne Gortney, Keith Hollis, Jeff Hollis, Kristopher Hollis and Davey Wilson. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughters; Pam Tipton (Robert) and Wendy Barksdale (James), grandchildren; Justin Butler, Tiffani Barksdale, Carley “Jimmy Lou” Hollis, Jordan Tipton, Kristopher Hollis and Kaitlyn Hollis, great-grandchildren; McKinlee Butler, Emilee Butler, Carle Ann Butler and Mason Hank Landers, brother; Tom Childers and her sisters; Patricia Gortney, Gail Hollis, Nola Wilson, Ruby Childers and Tracy Childers.
She is preceded in death by her son; Jimmy Floyd, Jr. “BoBo” Hollis, grandson; Brayden Chase Tipton and parents; James and Florine Childers.
