Glennis Louise Colbert passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at the age of 82. Her visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Friday, July 14, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. She will be buried in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Glennis was a native of Colbert County and attended Harmony Freewill Baptist Church and Old Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy H. Colbert; brothers, Billy, Hollis, and Donald South; and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, James Horward and Jimmy Leith Colbert; daughters, Toni Lee Dawson (Thomas Lendon), Cheryl McClure (Thomas Edward), and Margene Stonecipher; sisters-in-law, Barbara, Rose, and Carol South; brother-in-law, Robert Colbert (Elizabeth); 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mannon McClure, Kalen Dawson, Andy Colbert, Ethan Colbert, Ryan Stonecipher, and Rawlie South.
