Funeral service for Glenn Lee Sparks, age 81, of Trinity, will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Pentecostal Tabernacle Church with Pastor Rick Strain officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service at the church. Interment will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Sparks, who died Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at his residence, was born June 21, 1945, in Alabama to Ira Leo Sparks and Molly Grace Heflin Sparks. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Curtis Jenkins; sister, Mildred Smith (Hershell); and sister-in-law, Annelee Sparks. He was a very loyal Christian, and a firm believer who never missed church. He and his cherished wife, Judy, were married for 61 years. Glenn loved his family. He appreciated the simple things in life and thoroughly enjoyed hunting. His big heart had him always standing up and looking out for the less fortunate.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Elliott Sparks; son, Major Sparks (Karen); daughter, Penney Sparks; brothers, Rayburn Sparks, Dell Sparks (Kathy), and Frankie Sparks (Judy); sister, Janet Voss (Ray); four grandchildren, Kristina Anders (Josh), Kara Cottingham (Michael), Brooke Sparks, and Kailynn Sparks; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
