Glenda Faye Hester Vandiver, age 76, of Russellville, AL, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at her residence.
The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel officiating the service will be Bro. Kenny. The burial will be at Gravel Hill Mt. Star Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson Vandiver, parents, Clinton and Winnell Hester, brother, Hugh Hester.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Laurie Scott and Jeff Vandiver, grandchildren, Heather LaMoine (Blake), Brittany Parrish (Alex), Shawn Vandiver (Maddie), great-grandchildren, Jace, Jaxon, Axel, Memoree, Ophelia; sister, Annette (Jack) Lee, nieces and nephew, Brian, Autumn and Rebel.
The pallbearers will be Shawn Vandiver, Alex Parrish, Adam Montgomery, Jeremy Lee, and Scott Simpson.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama and Taylor and the nurse.
