Glenda Craft Lindsey of Huntsville passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. She was 88.
Born in Iron City, TN, she relocated at a young age with her parents to Sheffield, AL. She graduated from Sheffield High School in 1956. One of her fondest memories was traveling to the western United States on road trips with her parents. She trained to be a teacher at Florence State Teachers College, the predecessor to UNA. She relocated to Huntsville with her husband, George, in 1969.
Glenda loved gardening and decorating. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time outside. Glenda loved animals, especially her dogs and “granddogs” over the years. She was a true believer in treating everyone with kindness.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George William Lindsey, and parents, Ida Killen Craft and Leo Mack Craft of Sheffield.
She is survived by her son, Jason Lindsey (Margaret) of Madison, and two grandchildren, Grant and Reaghan.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville, A private service and burial will be held at a later date at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens in Florence.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntsville Botanical Garden or the Greater Huntsville Humane Society.
