Gladys French Gilliland – Obituary

Gladys French Gilliland, 91, died Sat., September 1, 2012 at Decatur General Hospital. She was a resident of Decatur, Ala, a homemaker, a member of Beltline Church of Christ, and a loving mother and grandmother (Granny). She left many good memories behind for her family and friends to cherish.

The visitation will be held from 10:30-Noon, Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur. The funeral will follow at Noon in the funeral home chapel. Gary Hill and Don Lokey are officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents William Jesse French and Elsie Dobbins French, and her husband, John Hughie Gilliland.

She is servived by her daugthers, Audrey Hubbard, Florence, Ala., Sonja Hyatt (Danny), Decatur, Ala., and Johnnie Stewart (Eugene) Trinity, Ala; Sister, Thelma Sons (Eugene) Trinity, Ala.; Grandchildren, Marvina Muse (Walter) Florence, Ala., Laura Aldridge (Ray) Florence, Ala., Warren Hubbard (Lisa) Madison, Ala., Brian Hyatt (Teresa) Huntsville, Ala., Julie Hyatt, Chicago , Ill. and Stacie Stewart, Trinity, Ala; Great-grand children, Katie Hubbard, Abby Hubbard, Noelle Hyatt, Reese Hyatt, and Kamdon Stewart.

Pallbearers are Eugene Stewart, Danny Hyatt, Warren Hubbard, Brian Hyatt, Ray Aldridge and Roger French.

Memorial gifts can be made to Beltline Church of Christ Missions Fund.
