Funeral service for Ginger Peete Bramlett, age 51, of Decatur, will be Friday, June 22, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at First Bible Church of Decatur with Pastor Steve Bateman and Pastor Paul Cheshier officiating, and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to service. Interment will be in Herring Cemetery.

Ginger passed away on Tuesday, June 19th, at her home. She was born in Decatur, and lived in Decatur all her life. She graduated from Austin High School and the University of Alabama.

She was the honorary, dearly loved central figure in what is called the “Bram Fam.” She loved her home on the hill with Jim, her “litter” of girls (as she called them), her dogs, and chickens. Many thanks to all of her friends and family who have prayed, sent cards and food, and helped her through this journey the past two years — you made it bearable, and she so depended on you for support.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, James “Jim” Bramlett; four daughters, Allison Bramlett, Prestley Bramlett, Mackinley Bramlett, and Kendall Bramlett; parents, Joe and Gail Peete; and brother, Preston Peete (Leah).

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Ginger requested memorial donations be made to Colon Cancer Research, or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
