Graveside Services for Gerald D. Brown, 80, of Oxford, AL will be Friday, April 17, 2026 at Clay County Memory Gardens with Bro C.O. Grindstead and Pastor Lane Albright officiating.
Mr. Brown was born in Clay County and spent most of his life in the Oxford area. He attended both Trinity Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church for many years, loved hunting and fishing, and always kept an immaculate yard. Gerald was a huge Alabama Football fan and loved his dog Abbie.
He was survived by his wife of 63 years Jimmie Ann Brown; son, Kevin Brown and wife Sherry of Wedowee; grandson, Reagan Brown; two sisters, Evelyn Lambreth and Kathleen Williams; several nieces and nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents H.L. and Lillie Brown.
Active pallbearers will be Kevin Brown, Reagan Brown, Ron Zimmerman, Matthew Zimmerman and Mike Valiey.
Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
