Mr. George Denmark, age 70, of Woodville, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. He was an Elder at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and Chief of the United Cherokee Ani-Yu – Wiya – Nation.
George is survived by his wife, Cathy Denmark; sons, James Paul Denmark
(Karen), Joshua Denmark (Leeann), Daniel Lee Denmark (Heather); grandchildren, Morgan Denmark, Joshua Denmark, Susie Denmark; sisters, Geneva Stokes, Gale Slocumb (Billy); brothers, Wallace “Bud” Denmark, Victor Denmark (Diane); several nieces and nephews; special fur child, Maggie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loca Denmark.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Scottsboro Funeral Home with Elder Darrel Chambers, and Elder Charles Godwin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery officiated by Elder Kenneth Watts.
