George Charles Lemieux, age 80, of Estill Springs, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 15, 1944, to the late Charles and Alice (Wiers) Lemieux. George was an outgoing soul whose vibrant personality touched everyone he met. An avid golfer, he spent countless hours on the course, sharing laughter with friends and family. His passion for the game was matched only by his love for reading sci-fi books, which fueled his imagination and curiosity about the universe. A true adventurer at heart, George embraced life with enthusiasm and warmth. His infectious smile and generous spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his family, friends, and all who found inspiration in his zest for life. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Larry Lemieux, Jerry Lemieux, and Marsha Ann Woods. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Gayle Lemieux; twin brother, David (Marietta) Lemieux; sisters, Marie (Joe) Zupancic and Becky (Bob) Bedell; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lee Viers and Coleen (Vincent) Lemieux; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
