Donald Frank Brodersen  Donald Frank Brodersen 79 years old, born October 19, 1945 and living in Guntersville, Alabama, went home to be with Jesus on Father’s Day, June 15, 2025 in the care of Shepherd’s Cove. He lived as a dedicated Christian and loved God and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Arab and a joint member at the First United Methodist Church in Gatlinburg. Don was a proud Veteran who served in the Vietnam War and retired in 1988 as an Ammunition Technician for the US Air Force. After his military service, he served as a civilian at the Tooele Army Depot in Utah, worked as an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Anniston Army Depot and Foreign Military Sales Country Program Manager, United States Security Assistance Command in Huntsville, Alabama.

Don had a passion for Ford Mustangs and was a member of the Saleen Club of America. He was called “Donzilla” and enjoyed the Tail of the Dragon many times. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains of Gatlinburg, playing the guitar and singing karaoke, model trains and quality time with his friends and family.

Don is preceded in death by his parents Paul Peter Brodersen Sr and Ilse Schneidewind Brodersen of Arizona, and sisters Sonja Riley (Jerry) and Paulette Hall of Arizona.

He is survived by his wife of 34 wonderful years of marriage to Melissa Hughes Brodersen, three sons Ronald , Paul, and Donald and two daughters Morgan Alexandra Brodersen of Arab, Alabama and Mary Burger. Grand Daughters Kaile, Kelsey, Krista, Alexandra, and Britani. Grand Sons, Jacob, Zachary and Dylan and several great grand children.

A graveside memorial service will be held on June 21, 2025, 9 a.m. at Marshall Memorial Gardens in Albertville with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Little Star Chihuahua Rescue of Montgomery, Alabama and the Appalachian Bear Rescue in Townsend, Tennessee.
