Geneva Underwood of Decatur, died at home Saturday on September 6, 2014. Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Funeral will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
Ms. Underwood is preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Julia Nunley; her beloved baby daughter, Donna Lynn Lentz; sister, Louise Nunley Posey; brothers, Billy Nunley, Monroe Nunley Jr. and sister, Reba Neaves.
Survivors include her son, Donald “Chip” Lentz Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Decatur; daughters, Marcia Lentz McDougald of Decatur and Cindy Lentz Freer of Huntsville; brother, Dewey Nunley of Toney and sister, Janet Carter of Hampton Cove; grandchildren, Jason McDougald of Decatur, Trey Freer of Hartselle, and Rachel Freer of Hartselle; and great-grandchildren, Ethan McDougald and Sam McDougald.
Ms. Underwood was a member of Central Baptist Church in Decatur for 61 years. She was retired from Monsanto.
