Funeral service for Gayle Alexander, age 64, of Trinity, will be Thursday, March 20, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stephen Caudle and Rev. Richie Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Miss Alexander, who died Monday, March 17, 2014, at her residence, was born January 27, 1950, in Fayetteville, TN, to Garth Greer Alexander and Winifred Grimes Alexander. She was preceded in death by her parents. Miss Alexander was a teacher, and retired from Priceville Elementary School following 25 years of service. She was also a gifted musician who shared Christian faith and testimony through her piano and organ music in several churches during her lifetime.
She is survived by two sisters, Gina Grissom of Decatur, and Greer Alsup of Manchester, TN; one nephew, Thad Alsup (Monica); and four nieces, Allison Alsup, Heather Grissom, Hayley Irons (Jeremy), and Ashley Grissom.
Pallbearers will be Eric Albright, Larry Owens, Jim Boyd, Johnny Appleton, Lewis Tuck, and David Robinson.
