Gary George Underwood, age 75, passed away on June 1, 2026.
Born on April 5, 1951, in New Jersey, Gary was the son of John Underwood and Anna Liepe Underwood. Throughout his life, he was known for his kindness, dedication to his family, and the many friendships he cultivated over the years.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Gail Marie Underwood; his daughter, Jennifer Caruso (Dave); his cherished grandchildren, Noah Lewis, Evan Caruso, Mia Caruso, and Ben Caruso; his mother, Anna Underwood; and his brother, Larry Underwood (Pam). He is also survived by his nieces, Melissa Taylor (Aaron) and their children, Logan and Eliza, and Shelby Taylor (Zach) and their children, John, Aria, and Xander; his nephew, Casey Underwood (Jessika); his cousin, George Wynn; as well as extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Underwood, and his brother, Mike Underwood.
Gary’s memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him. His family finds comfort in the many wonderful memories they shared and the lasting impact he made on their lives.
A memorial service will be held at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home Sunday, June 7th, 2026 at 3:00 PM with visitation preceding from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
