Funeral service for Gail Sims Peck, 81, will be Sunday, January 1, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church of Hartselle with Bro. Bobby Ray Halbrooks and Rev. Jimmy Bassham officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 1, 2017 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M at the Church.
Mrs. Peck died on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born September 23, 1935 in Decatur, AL to J.P. Sims and Christine McCullough Sims. She was a graduate of Decatur High School and attended Judson College and Florence State Teachers College. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hartselle. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and her caregivers, Michelle Glasco, Angla Elliott and Kathy Childers. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Sims. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Hartselle building fund.
