ETOWAH COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident in Etwah County has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:43 a.m. Sunday, December 8, has claimed the life of a Gadsden man.
Davieuntae D. Ackles, 30, was fatally injured when the 2017 Dodge Journey that he was driving left the roadway, overturned and struck a bridge column. Ackles was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 59 near Cleveland Avenue, within the Attalla city limits, in Etowah County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
