Gabriel Michael McNutt, 15, of Decatur, Alabama passed away on June 15, 2024. Funeral Services will be Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Central Park Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Haines officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the church. Graveside Service will be Friday, June 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, Alabama. Shelton Funeral Home assisted the family.
Gabriel was born on May 15, 2009 to Adam and Leslie McNutt of Raleigh, North Carolina.
Gabriel loved to make people smile with his jokes. He enjoyed playing various sports, as well as his guitars. He was a talented lyricist who wanted to one day become a singer and music producer.
Gabriel was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Arthur McNutt of Kingsport; J.D. and Bessie Pitts of Athens; and Billy Jack Engle of Hartselle.
Survivors include his parents, Adam and Leslie McNutt; his beloved siblings, Catherine, Isaac, and Adrian, all of Decatur; his grandparents, Russ and Connie McNutt of Athens; Edward and Diandrea Williams of Arab; and Tim and Eva Engle of Vinemont; his great-grandparents, Thelma McNutt of Athens; Maudie Engle of Hartselle; and John and Jane Elliott of Hartselle; his uncles and aunts, Daniel and Katlyn McNutt of Decatur; Ethan and Lauren Bloodworth of Quaker Hill; Geoffrey and Jenna Haynes, missionaries to Guatemala; as well as all of his cousins.
