Funeral services for Mrs. Freida Jean Mullins, age 85, will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Bethel Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 AM until service time.
Mrs. Mullins, a retired employee of Purodenso, home health worker and member of Bethel Baptist Church, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Beatrice Gilliam.
Mrs. Mullins is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Wade S. Mullins; two daughters, Julie Ann Mullins Curtis and Theresa Jean Mullins Shehata; two sons, Donald Wade Mullins and Dennis Ray Mullins; three sisters, Debbie Paraham, Betty Lou Anderson and Wanda Laman; a brother, Charels Gilliam; nine grandchildren, Amber Mullins, Dillon Mullins, Jimmy Mullins, Corey Mullins, Nick Taylor, Casey Taylor, Row Shehata, Abdelrahman Shehata and Taha Shehata; and several great grandchildren.
