ATHENS– Keep Athens Limestone Beautiful has partnered with Athens State University to host our 2022 Earth Day & Outdoor EXPO! The event will be held on the campus of Athens State University on Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be vendors that will offer kids’ activities, earth-friendly products, information to share, food trucks, a petting zoo, and more!
Thanks to the Limestone County Water and Sewer Authority, Vicky Beckham Smith aka “The Bat Lady” will be bringing her bats and will provide two shows with educational information on the importance of bats!
The Science Guys will be performing hands-on science experiments, plus they will have a really fun show!
Athens State University will be offering tree tours of the campus’ historic trees.
The Boyd Family Farm will provide a petting zoo, sponsored by Limestone Pediatric Dental.
Food trucks will be onsite with food available for purchase.
AT&T will be collecting old cell phones for recycling at their booth.
FREE COVID TESTING will be offered by the North Alabama Health Education Center.
