Freddie Benford Peek Sr., 73, of Madison, passed away Thursday March 10, 2016, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetary immediately following the service.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. He was born Oct. 18, 1942 in Decatur to Fred and Earline Peek. He graduated high school in Boliver, Tennessee and immediately joined the U.S. Army.

After his tour of duty, he returned to Decatur and enrolled in college in Mississippi and later joined with his father in the car business. In his latter years, he was the owner of Twickenham Builders.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Helen Peek; one daughter, Scarlett Sheils (Todd) of Opelika; two sons, Ben Peek (Sheila) of LaGrange, Georgia and Sammy Peek (Heather) of Priceville; one sister, Pat Peek Weeks of Hartselle; one brother, Jackie Peek of Decatur; and grandchildren, Noah and Henry Sheils, Amelia and Sam Peek.
