Memorial services for Mr. Frank Cope Wilkins, age 62 of Lineville, will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 3:00 P.M. A private inurnment will take place at the Clay County Memory Gardens on a future date.

Mr. Wilkins passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at his home. Cope was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and traveled with his family as a military son, spending some of his early years in Germany. He and his family settled in Clay County in 1972 and graduated from Lineville High School in 1982. Cope attended Ayers State Community College and studied Industrial Electricity. He spent his working years traveling and working in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee before moving back to Lineville in the early 2000’s to help take care of his family. He worked in mechanical repair, construction, and industrial machinery. Cope enjoyed reading, working on computers and traveling. He was a caring person and had a huge heart to help others.

Mr. Wilkins is survived by one son, Nicholas Aaron Wilkins of Germany; one brother, Walter Wilkins III (Cindy) of Saltillo, MS; two nieces: Kieredith and Cassidy Wilkins; and was known as PeePaw to his special grands: Jace, Grayson, Mason, Aiden, and Andy.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter R. Wilkins Jr. and Judith Ann Donner Wilkins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday May 9th for one hour prior to service time.
