Francis Irene Murray, 86, Leighton, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 4, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Richard and Donna Witt officiating. Interment will be in Guy Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Irene was a member of The Salvation Army Church. She loved cats. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Anna Boatwright; and daughters, Marie Borden and Rita McDonald.
She is survived by her husband, Joel Murray; children, Shirley Borden (Jerrell), Tricia Robbins (Rodney), Bobby Borden (Janice), Deby Miller (Andy), Sharon McKinney (Michael), and Stephanie Tucker; brother, Earl Boatwright (Delia); and numerous grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
