frances-hasty-1478106080Frances W. Hasty, 87 of Arab, Alabama died Tuesday November 1, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Hasty was born January 22, 1929 in Tallapoosa County to Allen D. Wicker and Annie F. Bice Wicker. She worked as a head cashier for Piggly Wiggly Grocery until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, dancing and taking trips to the beach. She loved collecting Tea Pots.
She was a member of Arab First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hasty is survived by her children: Michael and Donna Hasty; Jackie and Shannon Thompson, Hollie and David Bradford and LaDonna and Sam Kinsaul; her grandchildren: Brett and Bambi Bradford, Cody and Bayleigh Hasty and Jacob Bradford; her great grandchildren: Chesney Bradford and Keeley Bradford and Connor Michael Hasty (due in January). Her devoted friend: Peggy Mecklenburg. She was preceded in death by her husband Colonel L. Hasty and nine siblings.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday November 3, 2016 at Arab First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve West, officiating. Burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be David Bradford, Shannon Thompson, Sam Kinsaul, Brett Bradford, Jacob Bradford and Cody Hasty.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Arab First United Methodist Church prior to the service.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations to Hospice of Marshall County and Arab First United Methodist Church.
