Funeral services for Mr. Billy Joe Hays, age 75, are scheduled for 11 AM, Friday, November 4, 2016 at First United Pentecostal Church in Lexington. Interment will follow in Caraway Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hays passed away on Tuesday at his home in Lexington. He was born August 11, 1941 in Henderson County to the late Oscar Hays and Lessie “Brownie” Jowers. He was retired from Milan Arsenal, where he worked for 40 years. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church, loved his family and friends, and enjoyed vacationing with his family. He was preceded in death by one son, Billy Joe Hays, Jr.; one brother, Danny Hays; and one great grandson, Greyson Clark. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Linda Hays; his son, Zachary Hays (Janet); two daughters, Benita Dennison (Brett) and Vicki Carol Hays; two brothers, Larry Hays (Tami) and Alex Jowers (Karen); ; two sisters, Mary Jowers and Ruby Wildridge (Gordon); eight grandchildren, Brandy Dennison, Ashley Clark (Chip), Laura Brown (Bobby), Brittany Grant (Ryan), Andrew Hays (Brittnie), Noah Rich, James Keymon, and Luke Keymon; and four great grandchildren, Skylar White, Kaden Hall, Isabella White, and Evie Clark.
