Frances Sims Hicks, 84 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on September 7th, 2024. She was born on May 22nd, 1940, to Paul Mason Sims and Carra Calvert.
Frances is survived by her daughter Kathy Jarrett (Brent); her grandsons Will Jarrett (Brooke) & Joseph Glen Hicks III (Jessica); great-grandchildren Braxton Jarrett; Ella Michael Jarrett, Jax Hicks, & Julian Hicks; her brothers Dwight Mason Sims (Wanda) & Mike Gregory Sims (Lauren); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hicks is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph Glen Hicks Sr.; her son Joseph Glen Hicks Jr.; and sister Paulette Sanders.
A visitation for Frances will be held on September 10th, 2024, from 12pm to 1:45pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with a funeral service following in the Chapel at 2:00pm with Tim Keenum officiating. Her pallbearers will be Jeremy Jarrett, Ronnie Harris, JV McMunn, Joel McMunn, Kenny Blythe Jr., and Bobby Reece. The burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
