Funeral Services for Mrs. Frances Joann Roberts, age 86 of Lineville, will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Barfield Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Cummings and Rev. John Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at the Clay County Nursing Home. She was a lifelong resident of Clay County, attended Barfield Junior High School, and was a graduate of Lineville High School. Mrs. Roberts worked 29 years for Higgins Slacks in the bookkeeping department. After her tenure at Higgins, she worked briefly at Wellborn Cabinets, also in the bookkeeping department. Mrs. Roberts enjoyed spending time outside, cutting her grass and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed sitting on the front porch, watching soap operas and reading. Mrs. Roberts loved to support her grandchildren at their baseball games, and enjoyed traveling herself and always being on the go. Mrs. Roberts loved to spend time with her family, and was a lifelong member of Barfield Baptist Church.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by two sons: Bobby Crenshaw (Kathy) and Michael Crenshaw, both of Lineville; two grandchildren: Brooke Davis (Dusty) of Muscle Shoals and Matt Crenshaw (Sarah) of Lineville; four great-grandchildren: Avery Claire and Bennett Davis, and Bryant and Callen Crenshaw; one sister, Joyce McDonald of Lineville; special Niece, Lisa Porter of Lineville, plus other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Annie Lou Hudson Foster; her former husbands: Edgar Crenshaw, L.M. Gregory, and Theron Roberts; two brothers: Malcolm Hudson and Paul Edward “Jake” Foster; and three sisters: Edna Marie Mattox, Doris Wynell Cummings, and Betty Sue Denson.

Active Pallbearers will be Matt Crenshaw, Dusty Davis, Russ Foster, Jacob Porter, Brandon Mattox, Daniel Morrison, Josh Seals, and Brian Cummings.

Her visitation will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Barfield Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M.
