Mrs. Frances Irene Miller, 94, of Tuscumbia, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013. She was a member of Valdosta Baptist Church where she also taught Sunday School. Her family will receive friends at Colbert Memorial Chapel today from 1 until 2 p.m., with the Rev. Joe Stone officiating the service beginning at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom, Roy, Jesse and Jimmy White; and sisters, Iris Kilgore, Florene McMinn, Nona Logsdon, Sue Hood and Loretta Mullins.
She is survived by her sons, James A. Miller (Billie), of Wadsworth, Ohio, Roger W. Miller (Joan), or Rogersville, Ala., and Ricky A. Miller (Janie), of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; daughter, Mary M. Buckelew (Elbert), of Chelsea, Ala.; nine grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; and sister, Laverne Connor.
Pallbearers will be Cody Denton, Jimmy Dowdell Jr., Johnny Howard, Kevin Miller, Scott Rickard and David Thompson.
Honorary pallbearer is Elbert Buckelew.
