Harvey Harold Hasha, age 89, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., passed away, Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, after a brief illness, one day before turning ninety. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 19, noon-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Jack Wilham officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Iris Hasha. They enjoyed 67 wonderful years together.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis Hasha and wife, Carolyn, of Tuscumbia, and Rick Hasha and wife, Lynn, of Gardendale; grandchildren, Natonya Crowell and husband, Michael, of Muscle Shoals, Craig Hasha, of Muscle Shoals, Erica Hasha and Christopher Hasha, of Gardendale; great-grandchildren, Cole Barnes, Hannah Barnes, Cotton Crowell and Haley Hasha, all of Muscle Shoals; sister, Lillian Blevens; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hasha was a proud veteran of World War II where he received five battle stars, a purple heart and other medals. He felt his greatest achievement was being a missionary of the Lord in Central America, Africa and Southeast Asia.
