Frances Eleanor Wilhoite Rothermel, 92, of Huntsville, passed away quietly on August 5, 2021. She was wed for 65 years to her high school sweetheart, Bob, and mother of her sons, Rick Rothermel, Cocoa, FL, and Mark Rothermel of Arab, AL.
Bob’s work brought them to Huntsville in 1959. A growing family, boomtown prosperity and a new home in Fleming Hills had her busy with kids and keeping things tidy on the home front. She was outspoken and was not shy letting you know her opinion, but after Bob’s passing in 2013, it was apparent to family and friends of her missing Bob.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
