Floyd Ray “Jimbo” Watson was born April 21, 1956 in Selmer, TN the son of the late Floyd Watson and Ruble Whitten Watson. He was united in marriage to Becky Easley on January 4, 1991. Mrs. Watson preceded him in death on February 18, 2017.
Jimbo worked for the City of Selmer for over thirty years and remained close friends with many of his co-workers. They were always ready to help each other in times of need.
He was an avid deer and turkey hunter for many years and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Jimbo was devoted to family especially his granddaughter Jessilyn. His favorite times were when he took her hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. Jessilyn loved these special times with her “papaw.”
Mr. Watson departed this life on February 24, 2024 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 10 Months, 3 Days.
He is survived by his step-daughter, Christy Jacobs (Bobo), granddaughter Jessilyn Hickman, and sister Patsy Fuller (Danny), nephew, Clay Fuller and great-niece, Mila Fuller.
Jimbo was especially close to his brother, Bobby who passed away only a few days earlier.
