Thomas (Tommy) Eugene Tank, 79, of Florence, passed away January 25, 2025. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28th at Williams Funeral Home from 2:00 – 3:00 pm. The service will start at 3:00 pm in the chapel with Brother Jim Yarbrough officiating.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Bo, Rickey, Earl and sister, Brenda (Sissy).
Tommy is survived by his children, Darlene Horton (Jimmy) and Anthony Tank (Trissa). Additional survivors include siblings, James Tank (Connie), Doris Jarnigan, Billy Richardson, and Bobby Richardson; granddaughter, Anna Brooke Sherrer; step-grandchildren, Steven and Jamie Horton; great-grandchildren, Graison, Lydia, Khoa, and Miranda.
Tommy worked many years at PSI, where he formed lasting friendships and built strong relationships. If you ever had a conversation with him, chances are he spoke fondly of his beloved granddaughter, Anna Brooke—she was truly the light of his life. He was also deeply proud of his children. His nieces and nephews—Carol Gilchrist, David Hawkins, Diane Reed, and Shannon Lauderdale—held a special place in his heart. Tommy always had a joke ready to brighten your day, making sure you left with a smile. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
