Flossie Sweeton Wiggs, age 75 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Elk River Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Grundy County on March 30, 1947, to the late RB and Bessilen (Meeks) Sweeton Jr. Before her retirement, Flossie had been employed as a seamstress at Tennessee Apparel and Lanier Clothing. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing rook and checkers as well as eating out at the steak house or Granny Fishes. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her children and grandchildren. Everyone loved to go to Flossie’s house as she was a wonderful cook and was such fun to be around with her great sense of humor. She attended Estill Springs Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Wiggs; daughter, Sheila Wiggs; granddaughter, Shalina Wiggs Walls; siblings, William Sweeton, Kenneth Sweeton, John Henry Sweeton, and Betty May Buckner; and half-siblings, Pearl, Margie, Elsie, May, Irvin, and Agnes. Flossie is survived by her loving children, Tommy (Dani) Wiggs of Winchester, Steve (Wendy) Wiggs of Tullahoma, and Tina (Jeff) Kilgore of Decherd; grandchildren, Shane Wiggs (Paige Lowe), Kayla Wiggs (Craig Hitchcock), Paige (Josh) Hill, Jessica Sons, Kelsey (Justin) Barecky, Bailee (JR) Graun, Faith Wiggs (Chase Henderson), and Eli Wiggs; great-grandchildren, Mason and Averleigh Wiggs, Olivia Hitchcock, Carlee and Cooper Hill, Aidan, Gunner, Granger, and Gryder Barecky, and Payton Henderson, and unborn grandson, Kaven Graun; siblings, Carolyn Minor of Winchester, Floyd (Bonnie) Sweeton of Cowan, and Mary Bolin of Winchester; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 4, 2022 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Glenn Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Shane Wiggs, Eli Wiggs, JR Graun, Chase Henderson, Dwayne Bolin, and Melvin Bolin serving as pallbearers.
