FLORENCE-The Florence/Lauderdale Tourism Board will host a reception to honor Board member Ernest Haygood on Wednesday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new Visitor Center in McFarland Park in Florence.
The reception will honor Haygood whose term ends this month. He has continuously served on the Florence/Lauderdale Tourism Board since 1995.
“This reception will celebrate Ernest’s dedicated service and contributions to the Tourism Board,” said Director Debbie Wilson. “He has volunteered countless hours — working special events, assisting with hosting travel writers and VIPs — especially in the days when we were short staffed.”
The public is invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
