Brenda Bryant Witt, 68, of Tuscumbia, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. She was a member of Tuscumbia Valley Missionary Baptist church. Her funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with Jeff Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all she encountered. She had a passion for music, loved to sing and enjoyed the many trips she took with family and friends. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Cecil Bryant, sisters, Betty Strickland, Bobbie Nicholson, grandson, Quinton Shankle and niece, Bridgett Liles.
Survivors include sons; Anthony Heflin(Florida), Farrell Shankle (Yvonne) and Stacy Shankle (Shelia) all of Tuscumbia; daughter, Michelle Greenhill (Bennie) of Muscle Shoals; grandchildren, Shelby Greenhill, Cody Noe, Olivia Shankle Al Wafi, Justin Heflin, Shelby Heflin; three great-grandchildren, sister, Shelia Franks and brothers, Larry Bryant and Wayne Bryant.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to North Alabama Hospice, the Doctors and staff of North Alabama Cancer Center and Dr. Lynn Ridgeway for all you have done for our mother.
Pallbearers are Robbie Nicholson, Chris Bryant, Floyd Shankle and David Thaxton.
