20130228_0930 copyFLORENCE – They say that to make a perfect omelette, one has to break a few eggs. In the case of the Florence/Lauderdale Tourism Board, that saying also applies to their new facility… Sort of. First thing to go… The old golf pro-shop!

Last Thursday, the Tourism Board showed off architectural renderings of their new facility, construction of which is slated to begin in the next few weeks across from the Florence Marina. The 7-thousand square-foot Visitor Center is scheduled to be completed by this Fall.

Lots of folks from the community-at-large showed up for the occasion. The venue was the newly renovated restaurant at the Florence Harbor Marina. After the presentation of the renderings, attendees were treated to lunch from the new Stanfield’s River Bottom Grille.
