FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect who has been charged with 444 counts of Child Porn:
“Florence Police detectives received a Cyber Tip report from the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (ICAC) regarding the uploading of a suspected image of child pornography.
Florence Police detectives began an investigation and obtained a search warrant for a residence in Heathrow Subdivision. The search warrant yielded several electronic devices which were analyzed by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). Evidence recovered led to the securing of an arrest warrant for Michael Bramlett, a 33 year old white male from Florence Al.
On March 2, 2020, Mr. Bramlett was arrested and charged with 444 counts of Possession with intent to disseminate obscene matter containing visual depiction of person under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts. Mr. Bramlett was booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center and subsequently released on a $400,000 bond.
This case remains under investigation and additional information will be released when it is available.”
