FLORENCE– Mayor Andrew Betterton is pleased to announce that the 2023 STATE OF THE CITY program will be held on Thursday, August 24th at the Florence-Lauderdale Coliseum. The program this year will emphasize the many exciting developments in our Parks and Recreation Department and offer additional information on the current status of the City of Florence.
This year’s program will boast Florence as “Simply the Best!” which will coincide with a lemonade contest between City of Florence departments to be judged by the public.
There is no charge to attend the program. Representatives will be available from each department within the City of Florence for questions and additional information both before and after the presentation. The doors will open at 5:15 pm; the program will begin at 6:00 pm.
