FLORENCE-The Florence Tree Commission is excited to share that Florence has been recognized as a 2024 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of our community’s dedication to tree planting, care, and environmental stewardship. This recognition highlights the city’s commitment to promoting a healthier, more sustainable future through the planting and celebration of trees.
Tree City USA is a prestigious national program that has been helping communities maintain and grow their tree canopies for nearly 50 years. Florence’s continued participation reflects the hard work of city leaders, passionate volunteers, and our collective vision for a greener, more livable environment.
Please join the Florence Tree Commission for the Arbor Day Ceremony on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library. As part of the celebration, we are thrilled to host a Tree Giveaway, where 100 Dogwood seedlings will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
