FLORENCE-First Metro Bank located at 325 South Pine Street celebrated the opening of their new building on January 10th with a ribbon cutting and a tour of the new building.

“First Metro Bank was established to serve the financial needs of Northwest
Alabama communities, businesses and citizens. For over 25 years, First Metro
Bank has made a tremendous impact in the Shoals area and has grown to eight
locations in Colbert, Franklin and Lauderdale counties.
First Metro Bank transformed an entire half block of historic downtown
Florence, with the construction of its new Pine Street office. The three-story
building consists of over 14,000 square feet and incorporates what is best about
both First Metro Bank and the downtown Florence area. It holds to the historical
roots of First Metro Bank while looking ahead to a promising future.
The first floor is home to Café Metro, First Metro Bank’s own coffee shop that
serves as a public gathering space offering complimentary coffee, free wireless
internet and wide-screen televisions. The spaces on the first and second floor are
used for daily banking activities, teller services, residential and commercial
lending offices, in addition to new administrative offices. The River Room and
City Room can be found on the third floor. These facilities were designed with
the community in mind, becoming a destination for private functions and
semi-public events. The outdoor terrace allows for a beautiful view linking the
interior of the building with the atmosphere of downtown Florence.”
