Funeral for Fayetta Blevins Wakefield, 85, of Danville, AL, will be August 9,
2023, 11am, at Parkway Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Wakefield, and Dr. Chris Martin,
officiating. Internment at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors
August 8th, 5-8 pm, with the funeral on Wednesday at 11:00 in the chapel.
Mrs. Wakefield, who died August 5, 2023 at her home in Danville, was born September 30,
1937 to Kenis Roscoe, Sr. and Mary Ellen Gibson Blevins. She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband George Jackson “Jack” Wakefield, one son, Arvid Wakefield;
three brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her; three sons, Ronald (JoAnne) Wakefield of Lincoln Park, MI, Mark
(Deborah) Wakefield of Prattville, AL, and Luther (Karen) Wakefield of Danville, AL; one
daughter Rhonda Barton of Danville, AL; one daughter-in-law Dawn Hinson Wakefield
Mason (Michael); eleven grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,
nephews and friends.

memory of Mrs. Wakefield or the ALS Association in memory of Arvid Wakefield.
