Faye Miller Humphres, 86, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Russellville Hospital. She was born in Cherokee County, NC to Elmer and Lura Duckett Miller. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse and a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bay, AL.

Services will be Friday, September 15, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Billy Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two daughters – Vickie Dehart (Kerry) and Teresa Thornton (John); son-in-law – Donnie Jackson (Shirley); five grandchildren – Derek Jackson (Jessica), Adam Lesley (Katie), Sarah Sibley (Tyler), Christopher McDaniel and Elizabeth McDaniel; eleven great-grandchildren – Anna Jackson, Lilly, Dawson and Kaden Lesley, Deborah Jane and Trayson Sibley, Zoey Halbert and Abigale, Conner, Jonathan and Jude McDaniel; two sisters – Jean Luna and Geneve Tice and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.D. Humphres; a daughter, Debbie Jackson; her parents; five brothers, Austin, Fred, Larry, Gary and Tony Miller and a grandson, Joshua Lesley.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Jackson, Derek Jackson, Adam Lesley, Tyler Sibley, Glen Vinson and Hubert Humphres.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2762 Shady Grove Road, Russellville, AL 35653.

Visitation will be Friday, September 15, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
