Faye Ellen Elliott Miller, age 77 of Cowan, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Decherd on July 15, 1946, to the late John Thomas and Minnie (Presley) Elliott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sue Ellen Elliott, Helen Freeman, Catherine Galligan, and Minnie Gilliam; brothers, Paul Elliott, William “Bill” Elliott; son-in-law, David Janey; daughters-in-law, Denise Miller, and Connie Miller; and grandson, Corey Matthews. Faye is survived by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Wayne Miller of Cowan; sons, George Miller of Cowan, Earl (Christy) Miller of Decherd, and Gary (Hilary) Miller of Winchester; daughters, Brenda (Roger) Rollings of Lexie Crossroads, Marshia (David) Williams of Winchester; sisters, Nancy (Melvin) Pouge of Tullahoma, and Martha Fletcher of Tullahoma; and brothers, Jimmy Elliott of Manchester, Roy Elliott of Winchester, and Howard (Linda) Elliott of Winchester. She was the loving grandmother of nineteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Faye absolutely loved taking care of her family by cooking or shopping at yard sales looking for clothes for all the grandbabies. She loved flowers of all kinds, especially her knock out roses. At Christmas, she always made sure everyone had something and was known as the candy maker. Faye also made beautiful cakes. She would light up a room when she entered and make everyone laugh and feel good. Before her retirement, she worked at several nursing homes with her last eighteen years being at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in housekeeping, where she made many friends. Everyone who met her loved her. Faye was of the Baptist Faith. We all know Faye is flying high with the angels and continuing to watch over her family and friends. Visitation will be from 5-9pm on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Curtis officiating. Interment will follow at Watson Memorial Park.
